CCC just went through a revamp with new interiors and a new menu to boot. Loved their retail section, side note they even stock the large version of Maille’s dijon mustard :O
It’s a casual dining eatery with daily specials (they have a baking timetable too, when we arrived they just finished baking quiches and up next were cookies), a build your own salad station and a huge selection of cakes.
Moving on to the food since it was quite hot outside, the summer salad sounded so good and it was! It was refreshing and perfect for the summer – loved the mango, watermelon, feta combination.
For mains, I opted for sesame seared salmon – well cooked but the orange butter sauce really packed a much needed flavor punch. Other great options are: cheese ravioli in a tomato sauce and a super crispy pepperoni, mozzarella, baby spinach flatbread (I might give pizza up for this flatbread).
Since they had just finished baking the quiches (the smell was wafting by) I decided to cave in and try a chicken and cheese. The pastry for the quiches is made in-house and you can really taste the difference.
Not sure what to get for dessert (they have a delicious looking display with tiramisu, eclairs, cheesecakes and so much more). Juliete (our waitress) recommended the banana split which has 3 scoops of in house made (they do also have the famous Movenpick ice cream too) neapolitan ice cream. Are words needed with dessert especially if it contains ice cream and chocolate/strawberry sauce?
A relaxed lunch at a hidden gem spent catching up with good food. Will come back soon to pick up a few items from their retail section and try to squeeze in a banana split too…
